About the role

We are looking for a Head of Sales to build out Runway’s GTM function. Our customers represent a wide spectrum of content creators, from post-production and broadcasting companies, Fortune 500 teams, design studios, and ad agencies to marketing teams, and freelancers.

This role reports directly to the CEO and works alongside various teams at Runway including creative, product, tech, legal, and finance. We are looking for an experienced and entrepreneurial Sales leader who will help research, explore, and continue to build a unique GTM motion.

What you’ll do

Build and lead a world-class, diverse team: recruit, interview, hire, coach, and mentor

Position the team to grow successfully beyond immediate targets by building the engine for exponential revenue growth. Employ creative strategies as a seller, leader, and motivator

Become a thought leader: earn trust in order to advise C-Level executives on the strategic importance of modernizing their businesses through Generative AI

Hold overall responsibility for achieving ARR and revenue targets, demonstrating dedication to speed, accuracy, numbers, and deadlines

Manage ~10-12 key accounts yourself, building relationships, developing and executing strategies that promote happy customers and expanding usage of Runway’s platform at those customers over time

Collaborate with creative, product, engineering, partnerships, legal, and finance teams to build and execute strategic programs and projects that benefit our customers and drive growth

Closely monitor the industry landscape (people, competitors, partners, etc.) to contribute to product roadmap and other company strategies

Set function-wide goals and implement tracking systems to consistently measure and convey progress

We Expect You To

What you’ll need

Experience leading Commercial teams

Ability to drive the growth of fast-growing, high-performance companies. Have been a key contributor to hyper-scale of an organization

Experience selling platform-as-a-service and/or software-as-a-service at a product-led growth company

Consistent achievement of revenue targets beyond quota/expectations

Ability to design and execute complex deal strategies, inclusive of legal, product/technical requirements, and pricing

Experience gathering, distilling, and processing complex market (industry, competitor, customer, prospect) intelligence

Resourcefulness and a “figure it out” mindset

A strong bias towards action and belief that no task is too small for you

Excelling at getting from email, to zoom, to text-basis with people quickly and ability to thrive in a fast pace environment
