We are seeking an experienced Backend Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on the backbone of Jasper AI and Clipdrop, developing and maintaining scalable backend APIs that support the ambitious goals of our applications and systems. You'll collaborate closely with our research team to integrate the latest AI models into our platform and play a crucial role in optimizing and securing our backend infrastructure.

This role is open to candidates located in Paris, France. It will be a hybrid setup requiring you to come into the office when necessary.

What you will do at Jasper

Develop and maintain robust, scalable backend REST APIs to support the functionality of Jasper AI's applications and systems.

Work within cross-functional teams to define, design, and launch new features that enhance the Jasper AI experience.

Proactively contribute to the evolution of our backend systems' architecture to support scalability and innovation.

Continuously enhance the performance and efficiency of our backend systems to meet the growing needs of our business and user base.

Implement comprehensive CI/CD to minimize and increase delivery speed to production of our backend architecture.

Demonstrated proficiency in one or more strongly typed backend languages. (Typescript experience is valued).

Proven track record of building REST API (both public and internals), previous experience with large/binary payloads such as images is valued.

Proven track record of building and scaling high-availability, secure backend systems.

Exceptional problem-solving capabilities and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.

Experience with good CI/CD practices is valued.

Fluent spoken and written english language skills along with good communication skills are mandatory

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
