Job Description
Imagine a world where your insights have the power to transform industries and improve lives. Where every dataset holds a story waiting to be told, and machine learning and artificial intelligence are the keys to unlocking that narrative. In a realm where data is abundant and ever-growing, your role as a data scientist is not just a job—it's a mission to sift through the digital expanse and extract pivotal insights that address some of the most pressing challenges of our time. Whether it's outsmarting fraudsters, pioneering breakthroughs in healthcare, or enhancing national security, your expertise turns data into decisions and knowledge into action. Join us in this quest for discovery and make your mark on the world.
We have an opportunity for you to use your skills to support federal health research and development (R&D) organizations, including a variety of health military and civil health agencies, for programs related to artificial intelligence and machine learning. You'll apply scientific and engineering subject matter expertise to help conceptualize, create, and execute advanced government-funded research and development programs to accelerate better health outcomes for everyone. You'll characterize the state of a technical field, including identifying state-of-the-art technologies and promising new approaches. You'll perform analyses to recommend ambitious technology performance targets that are on the cutting-edge of what might be achievable. You'll identify key technical experts across academia, industry, and national labs, perform technical outreach, and facilitate the formation of new multi-disciplinary technical communities. You'll review highly technical proposals and support negotiations of selected projects, including advising on project plans and technical milestones for complex R&D projects. You'll perform direct and periodic technical oversight of the project portfolio, from set-up to close-out and assist the client with managing projects to achieve clear and compelling outcomes.
